Episode Description
Sleep problems are common among people with ADHD, and their impact may hit harder. Struggles with focus, concentration, and productivity may become even more acute with chronic sleep disruptions. When sleep falters, energy levels plummet, attention becomes harder to maintain, and performance suffers.
If you’re doomscrolling or watching social media reels into the early hours, your circadian rhythm, or body clock, may be working against you. Learn how you can modify your circadian rhythm with interventions that include light exposure, therapy, and behavioral approaches for best results.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- About the latest research involving circadian rhythm and how it tends to differ in adults with ADHD compared to the general population
- About examples of sleep disruptions vs. when is it pathological
- Why circadian rhythm disruptions are particularly impactful in people with ADHD, causing worsening core symptoms like inattention and executive dysfunction
- About the consequences of a disrupted circadian rhythm in adults at work and students in school
- About interventions to optimize your circadian clock, including how to use light (and dark), the latest research into melatonin use, and other approaches.
