Episode Description

After a long school day, your child avoids delays, and chafes against homework. Daily bouts of procrastination, frustration, and parental friction can leave your whole family feeling drained. But what if you could turn homework into an opportunity for your students to grow their independence?

In this ADHD Experts webinar, Ann Dolin, M.Ed., founder and president of Educational Connections, shares practical, ADHD-friendly strategies to help your middle or high school student tackle homework with more confidence and less conflict this school year.

In this webinar, caregivers and educators will learn:

  • How executive function challenges like disorganization, poor time awareness, and avoidance lead to homework struggles, and ways to identify your child’s weak or missing skills.
  • Personalized tools like “Focus Finders,” metacognitive check-ins, and the “If… Then… So…” method to increase self-awareness and decrease barriers to entry.
  • How to use flexible goal-setting strategies to help students stay on track even when things don’t go as planned.
  • Scripts and phrases that build parent-child trust and increase independence at homework time.
